Stakeholder Pensions
Stakeholder pensions were introduced in 2001
and are designed to offer a simple,
low cost, flexible pension option for all.
Even those who are not currently working
can contribute up to £3,600 per annum
to a stakeholder pension
Parents and grandparents can contribute to
Stakeholder
pensions for children and grandchildren.
Note for Employers
If you've got five or more employees,
you must designate a Stakeholder pension
provider
unless you already have other pension arrangements in place
to which
the company contributes at least 3% of employee’s salary.
Those who can't be bothered should be aware that
they could wind up with a fine
of up to £50,000.
